Council of Chief State School Officers Taps Cartis Group for New Branding Initiative
The Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO) hired brand consultancy, Cartis Group, to develop a brand strategy and new brand collateral for the organization. CCSSO is an 81 year-old Washington, DC based organization. It is a nonpartisan, nationwide, nonprofit organization of public officials who head departments of elementary and secondary education in the states, the District of Columbia, the Department of Defense Education Activity, and five U.S. extra-state jurisdictions. CCSSO provides leadership, advocacy, and technical assistance on major educational issues.
After a review of several firms, Cartis Group was chosen because of their unique anthropological branding process. Cartis Group is responsible for the organization’s brand strategy, identity design, messaging architecture, Web site design and brand collateral.
“CCSSO helps the state leaders of education work collectively, ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed in the classroom,” said Cartis Group President, Shannon Carter. “They are uniquely positioned to help reform our education system and we are thrilled to be part of their new branding initiative.”
The new brand is slated to launch in 1st Quarter 2010.
